"Wyler is a watch company founded by Paul Wyler in 1896 and was known for its rugged and shockproof movements and models. Paul Wyler gained seven patents for his innovations. In 1927 he invented the "Incaflex balance spring", which was resistant to impact, and in 1932 received a patent. The two spokes of the balance wheel had been made serpentine and of an elastic alloy. As a result, the pivot of the balance staff was better protected against lateral impact. Worldwide attention was attracted by a spectacular Wyler marketing campaign in 1956, when two watches were allowed to fall from the top of the Eiffel Tower and still functioned unchanged after the fall. The feat was repeated in 1962 in Seattle for the US market." -Wyler - Chronopedia
This vintage Wycoflex by Wyler is an attractive vintage wristwatch featuring a very pretty fancy inner bezel. The fancy white gold inner bezel is designed with textures that reflect and sparkle when hit by the light. The dial is a pie chart design- black lines on a beautiful patinaed silver-champagne- with mirrored rectangle indices with luminous ends, sword-style luminous hour and second hands, and a stick-style sweep second. The 32.8 mm bezel and case back are stainless steel. The exterior case back is marked Stainless Steel Back, 1162, W1007. This watch is from the late 1950s to early 1960s.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended. Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have. It will be carefully packed.
